As a 43-year native, I consider myself somewhat of an armchair Arizona expert. I feel like I know more than the average person about our beautiful state and am excited to share that with my clients. A little- known fact about me; I was born at the same hospital as my mother! Yes, my mom. What does that tell you? That I’m actually a second generation native, so I think that gives me even more street cred, don’t you?
I came across a powerful quote once that says, “One day, all your children will have is pictures of you. Make sure you’re in them. No matter what your hair, makeup, or your body looks like – any of that. They’ll just want to see you.”
One of the reasons I started doing photography is because all too often, the same person takes all the photos and, therefore, is never in them. Usually it’s the mother, but it happens with dads, grandparents, and other family as well. I want to make sure that person gets out from behind the camera (or phone, because - 2023) once in a while and is able to get in front of it.
I would say that 90% of the time I am on the road to anywhere, I am noticing beautiful scenery and landscapes. I just want to get people in front of the right backdrop so I can capture my subjects in the most beautiful way possible.
When I’m not busy working, I’m a mom to two daughters and wife to one husband. We also have a dog. And a guinea pig. And a fish. I LOVE adventure and would really prefer to sell everything and travel with my family for a living. If you have any advice on making this happen, please, I’d love to hear it! My biggest goal with photography is to give my clients the most fun, stress-free experience I can. The best compliment you can give me is to say to your friends and family, “I have a great photographer, here’s her number! You HAVE to call her!”
